Inequality, injustice, innocent.

On September 21, 2011, a man lost his life, a mother and father lost their son, siblings lost their brother. Troy Davis was accused of a murder in 1989, that’s 22 years he’d been in jail fighting for his freedom. Casey Anthony was in jail for 4 years or so, and was found not guilty for the murder of and neglect of her daughter due to reasonable doubt. The fact that her daughter was missing for 30 days and not once did she say something, should have been enough for most people. Or how about the fact she apparently had a babysitter that didn’t exist. 9 people testified against Davis, then 7 of the 9 changed all or part of their testimony saying the that police threatened them or they felt forced to give a testimony. Of the 2 that didn’t change their testimony, was a man who was also suspected of committing the crime. On top of police coercion no gun was ever found, no solid evidence of the crime was ever given. Bullets matching the gun were not even recovered for days after the murder, until a bum allegedly found shells that POSSIBLY matched the type of gun used. All they had was “he said, she said”. After countless appeals from Davis himself and many supporters trying to get clemency, all were denied. And Davis killed by lethal injection. Samuel Crowe also accused of murder pled guilty and admitted to the crime was granted clemency and was given a life sentence. Here’s the thing, Crowe admitted and was given a life sentence and was allowed to continue to breathe. Anthony was found not guilty and gets to continue to live her life. And yesterday an innocent man lost his life.
